Somewhat OT, but I gave a guy an earful in my alley a few years back. I have several neighbors with small children. They tend to play in the backyards abutting the alley, so I'm sensitive to what happens back there.
My neighbor had a buddy over, and they were leaning against the garage smoking and talking. The neighbor is a soft-spoken guy, but the buddy was loud... what I call an 85 IQer. Quite literally, every fourth or fifth word out of his mouth was the F-bomb.
I immediately became irritated, but I didn't want to piss of the neighbor. So I started counting. When I got over something like 60 utterances of that choice conversation gem in about two minutes time, I approached him and called him out on his behavior. He seemed genuinely shocked.
Some people consider it a dialect, or a language variant. They don't have the self-consciousness to evaluate their language until someone smacks them in the face with it.
Incidentally, I did the exact same thing in a Subway once (they make the best sandwiches anywhere, so shut up). I just walked over to the guy (who was across the room - it's not like I was in the next booth), and said, "Do you know you said f**k 83 times in the last four minutes?", and walked out. He responded with something clever, like, "Yeaaaahhhh."
