Humans are the most violent animals on earth, have always been, and always will be. Only now, guns and knives have replaced sticks and chains. What I think is happening here is violence hasn't changed, but w/ all the media channels available to us, we are more informed about it. You couldn't get the latest national news or watch the war live from your cell phone in 1955. We simply hear more news now, instead of hearing about the crime in your neighborhood only, now you hear about it almost instantly from around the world. But I do agree w/ Scotty on some points, crime although maybe not icreasing, it has definetly become increasingly more violent than in years past.
Street fights don't just leave you w/ a bloody nose anymore, it leaves you dead.
