Ok i own a 93 gixxer 750 with 30,000 miles (it sat in storage cause the previous owner died in Iraq
and his father sold it to me) and i have a few questions cause i can't find the info anywhere else so maybe someone on here can help me.
1. I need to adjust the headlamp height. It's too low to the ground at night. How do i do this?
2. Dry weight is about 450 lbs. Should i give my bike hoodia and slim fast? j/k Where can i lose some lbs? Why is there such a big weight difference between the older and newer bikes?
3. My bike is carbed with 4 carbs (duh). The idle is really high about around 4 grand after it's warmed up. Do i have to adjust each one or is there a master adjustment screw? (there is a K&N filter involved and it might of had a jet kit from the previous owner without a tune up so i'm not sure)
4. Performance? Where can i get it??? I can't find it...
5. Clutch slippage. Open throttle above 4 grand and it kinda dwindles for a second then takes off (not really an accurate discription sorry)? Could too much oil in the crank cause this? (might of added just a bit too much
)
6. What engine is on the gsxr750? and yes i know its 750cc's (had a guy tell me that before) (ex. my 89 conquest tsi has a g54b I-4 2.9liter)
7. Is there an electrical diagram covering the kill switch? (when i flip it to kill the engine it doesn't do anything) I guess the previous owner disconected it?
8. It has a yoshimura exhaust and i've heard some bad things about that. Should i dump it and get a supertrapp or vance and hines?
there might be more but i'm tired and about to crash right now so if i think of them i'll just post them up later...
