In the colder times, I'll wear:
- Long-sleeve thermal undershirt
- Fleece jacket
- IXS all-weather Gore-Tex riding jacket
- All-weather Gore-Tex riding gloves
- Long thermal underwear
- All-weather Gore-Tex riding pants
- Datona leather/Gore-Tex riding boots
- My Schuberth S1 full-face helmet with a balaclava underneath
- A bandana or similar covering my neck

That said ... my bike is parked at the moment. I don't ride when there is a risk that the roads may be icy. My house sits on a hill at about 1,600 feet above sea level, so icy roads are pretty common in the mornings between November and March . . . so I just hop in my Audi, crank up the music and enjoy the heated seats and quattro all-wheel drive.
