Hi REDLINE,
I live in Canyon Country and travel down to North Hollywood at 3am. So some mornings it can get down into the 30's. I wear T-shirt, long sleeve turtle neck thermal, TourMaster 3/4 length jacket with zip in liner. If it is below 40 degrees I also wear a woolen sweater under the TourMaster jacket. I also wear thermal pants, jeans and then TourMaster Jean armor pants. Finished off with a turtle fleece balaclava, full face helmet and winter gloves. Figer tips can get a little cold but otherwise I am feeling fine when I get to work. As the guys have said, layer up and you need good under clothes to trap the warm coming off your body. Allowing it to escape will not keep you warm.
