On paper that might appear to be true, but in reality the S50 is a closer match to the 1200cc HD. My brother-in-law has the 1200 and I have the S50. Both 05's, both are bone stock. He has more comfort, but that's where it ends. The S50 can out maneuver and out brake the HD. That alone would sway my purchase, but even performance wise he has yet to beat me in high speed roll ons and short speed contests, but it's so close he could easily even the odds just going on a diet. He also paid twice what I did. If you want a harley get one, but don't confuse them with value. The real choice here is "bang for the buck" or american icon?
