I thought the authorities narrowed it down that he was in the paratroopers; which is why he knew enough about which kind of plane to hi-jack.
Very few airliners at that time could open a door without everybody seeing it and the windy depressurization making it rather difficult to control the plane.
That's right, they never did find Fosset's plane, did they. Didn't he crash in the mountains as close as they could tell?
