If you want to know what the standard is in my part of Texas is, pick any temp, fill the bathtub up with water, jump in, then go for a ride....

That's my standard. I'm two blocks from the water and my whole trip commuting I'm never more than about 10 miles from the water so HUMIDITY does play a factor...

Last time I rode in it was 40° w/ a dewpoint of 40° or 100% HUMIDITY for 65miles, nonstop riding at 80mph...but as long as I can feel my hands I'm comfortable (Gerbing's gloves )...
