Spent 5.5 -hours on the 750 today:
Installed new wheel front bearings, swapped rotors and installed this front wheel from an '88 1100 on the front. New front tire is a Metzeler Z6. Wheel was part of my "burn bike" - a 750 that was in a garage fire a few years ago.
I PITY DA FOOL WHO DON'T HAVE A Mr. T CHAIN! I missed my Mr. T chain that was on my 1100 which I sold earlier this year. Fortunately, Bill's Bikes and Service hooked me up with this DID and a new set of sprockets. I dropped two teeth on the rear since the racetrack gearing was hard to deal with at highway speeds. Had to hunt around for the original '88 1100 wheel parts, since the '87 750 sprocket carrier won't work with the '88 1100 rear wheel. Installed all that today. This wheel was once mounted for a track day at Thunderhill on this same bike. New rear tire is a Metzeler Z6.
Much more work to do this week. Today's time doesn't count the time it took me to order all the parts, have the tires mounted, and cleaning the wheels. I did that stuff before Thanksgiving.
