Smile Introducing Gigi and Fit (919 in Haiti)

Hi, this is my first post. I have just began riding a 2004 919, litterally 10 days ago. It has 3,300 miles on it. I've attached a couple of pictures.

My previous bike was a '95 Kawasaki ZX-6E. The 919 is substantially faster, and other than some buzzing around the headlight area at 2,500 rpm, I can't find anything I don't like with it so far.

This is the nicest bike I've ever owned I know some complain about the lack of rebound from the rear damper. Riding two-up, I do feel it wallow a bit. Otherwise I am pretty light, don't have a problem with it.

I've decided to call the bike Fit. That's because I threw a fit to get it, and it fits me perfectly. It's also short for Fuel Injected Thoroughbred, this being the one thing that is different from all my previous bikes.

I've pulled my first wheelies with it yesterday. 1st gear, 4,000 rpm, no clutch, just open the throttle fully while giving it a yank. It come up nicely and progressively. But the tank blocks my vision pretty much entirely.

I'd love to hear from anyone who has the owner's manual for a 2004 or newer 919, as I'm looking for info on the suspension adjusters. Also, does anyone know how to lock a helmet on these bikes?

Thanks,

Gigi
