Default Put a set of lowers on the M50.

I have an OEM windshield on my bike and really like the look, but was a bit disappointed with the amount of helmet buffeting I was still getting. I did some research and ran across some information on installing a set of lowers on the bike. When I read user reviews it seemed like about 75% of purchasers thought they were great and the other 25% didn't notice much of a difference.

After looking at a number of photos of various lowers I decided to make a set and try them out first before spending the money on them. I made my lowers using some Masonite and attached them to my front fork with a couple large hose clamps. They weren't much to look at, but they seemed to work pretty well, so I went ahead and ordered a set of lowers from Memphis Shades.

I put them on the bike and have taken a couple of rides and am pretty satisfied with them. They seem to be cutting down on the wind buffeting, but it's the kind of thing that is a bit hard to determine without having another bike without the lowers you could ride right after you ride with the lowers.

Since the reviewers on lowers mentioned that it often takes a bit of adjustment to get them to work best I'm wondering if any other M50 riders out there have installed any on their bikes? If so, what configuration did you find worked best for you? I installed mine so that they are in front of my turn signals and right below the bottom of my windshield. The pointed part of the shield is pointed down since the contour matches my windshield best that way.
