From the product site:
The microTach is a 1.37" x 0.77" small form factor device specifically designed for Harley Davidson and V-Twin motorcycles. There is a microTach+ tachometer available for all V-Twin Motorcycles! Some models may required optional Tach-Adapter. Using only 3 wires (Ignition, Ground, and Signal) and easily placed in convenient or inconspicuous locations this tachometer provides vital engine status.
Question 1- is the tach for V-twins any different than say for inline twins or inline fours?
Question 2- did you have to use the optional Tach-Adapter?
Question 3 - has using it given you any surprise findings? You've already developed your riding and shifting style on your bike. Did it surprise you to find that you were RPMing lower or higher than you thought? Has it started to change your riding as to when you shift or has that stayed the same?
