Can't take credit for this one - a friend did this for his wife on their 20th anniversary - he spent weeks (probably more like months) planning - and somehow managed to keep the whole deal a secret from his wife. Including calling his wife's boss to schedule a weeks vacation for her without her finding out about it, and getting his folks to watch their kids while they would be gone. He booked them on a cruise, sailing out of Mobile, AL. She thought they were going to Biloxi to stay at one of the casinos there, and he was just taking a side trip through Mobile for a day of deep sea fishing with some friends. When he pulled up at the port, she asked where their friends were, why weren't they meeting around Bayou LeBatre, and where was the fishing boat. When he pointed at the cruise ship and said they were going on that - it took him 15 minutes to convince her he wasn't joking. And another 10 to convince her he had taken care of everything back home for the time they would be gone.
