with electric wear, down to mid 30's is doable. After that, I just don't trust the road.

Riding my V65 Sabre in England back in 1995. It was DAMNED cold, somewhere around the end of Dec. then. But, a clear and bright day. So a day not to be wasted over there! On the way to work, riding on small rutted back road, as I was heading downhill with the road bending to the left both of my tires crossed over into the slight depression of the ruts. This is where the, then, liquid form of water had collected earlier the previous night. Apparently during the night it had turned into its solid form and both wheels slide to the right exactly the width of the rut and back onto solid, dry, tarmac. Needless to say I had to change my shorts when I got to work. But as I look back, it was cool that the rotating wheels kept the bike upright nicely during this little maneuver.

So yeah, if the ground is cold enough to let ice form, no motorcycling for me.

Some folks are forever telling us the glass is half full. Others that it is half empty. Did it ever occur to any of these folks that maybe the glass is too big?
