It is that time of year it seems. I just picked up a '96 600 F Katana with a stage 2 jet kit, V&H pipe, new tires and has already been bored out a little for 1K. It took some looking, first on EBay and then I scanned three states on Craigslist for that one smoking hot deal.
I haven't ridden anything with two wheels for 13 years and that was only a 250...that was owned by a buddy of mine. My heart was pounding out of my chest when I took off. After a good half hour of riding around the sellers neighborhood I was ready to taker her home.
As for the bike, the side flares are scratched up and I will need to look around for some new or gently used ones. I plan on spending this winter stripping the bike down, getting the frame powder coated and making it look damn good with a custom paint job.
I will dig through the forums before I start in with the questions. I will post some pics tomorrow when I get the bike all the way home (dropped it off at my parents place so I could bring the car home...wife is going to freak tomorrow, hehe).
