Most of the new 50's you see are based on the Honda Z50 engine, you know all the China clone's etc.
but the JR50 has always been the same bike, they almost never changed anything except body work that is. The same piston is used on a 1978 JR50 as on a 2006 Jr50! Might be noted that the Kawi KDX50 uses the same piston as well
