50,000 miles is around the time you can expect some of the major bearings and seals to need attention, such as: fork seals and oil, steering head bearings, swingarm bearings, wheel bearings, etc. Depending on the level of maintenance, engine rebuilds can start at around that time, too. It's somewhat risky, and I'd personally look for something "younger", unless you're up to the challenge and the price is right.
