There have been huge discussions over zinc levels in motorcycle oil. My conclusions are that modern oil (conventional or synthetic) is so much better than it was in '75 that you can't go wrong with a motorcycle-specific oil of your choice in the proper weight. Zinc is just one small part of the big picture, and it's not the only way to skin that cat.
