I never rode one but I do know some people who have side cars and have rode with them.

It was almost like riding after a cager but slower. The guy who rides it says it's difficult to turn corners cuz the bike won't lean so he was going very slowly.

I'm not sure if it's as fun as bikes because of this, but I know it's not the fun part you are going after if you have a side car. A guy who had his dog in the side car looked really cool though!! The dog was wearing a tiny doggy helmet and goggles!
