A minor military brat here but lemme just say I am proud of all our vets and I don't think we do enough to honor those who have died or are now living with an injury resulting from war.
I read somewhere that Cali is full of homeless men (and women) who served in Vietnam and due to the mental stress of what they indured over there they are now unable to fit into a normal society. I also read an updated report on this that spoke of military personel who fought in the first Gulf War now dealing with some of the same estranged problems that Vietnam vets suffer.
Bottom line is this.. I feel our country could and should do far more to honor, help and give aid to our military men and women then what it currently does.

Now I can't site the report I just gave because i believe I had heard this from some radio talk show (maybe Glen Beck or Rush not sure) so don't ask me to post the source up.

Yes, Japan too suffered greatly at the feet of war and from what I understand they still live with after affects of it. It's always sad to see life lost on either side but human nature being what it is will never allow for a peaceful world to which we strive to live in. It's become more of just protecting yourself and your own country from extremest (sp) and finaticales (sp) who seek to push their own agenda's.

Maybe one day .. just maybe we will have a world thats actually at peace with each other.. I doubt it but one can dream..

At any rate I say again I am proud of the sacrafices of the men and women who have struggled to make our country, and our world a safer place.. we own them much..

Just a ranting opinion here..
