Okay, I didn't go the Harley route, but I went big touring also, and I love it. I've had my '05 Royal Star Venture for a month and, and I've put just under 3000 miles on it. I too loved the C50T, but there really is no comparison.

The RSV is soooo smooth, and the added power is so nice. Even tho it weighs in at 809 lbs dry, it handles the twisties better than the C50T did (but really loves the bigger sweeping curves). My biggest complaint on that was always scraping the floorboards.

I believe the RSV has a longer wheel base than the Harleys, and the added passenger room is very noticeable. I get nervous that my son is falling asleep back there and I can't feel him.

I've always loved those Harleys too, particularly the Road Glide, but they are out of my range financially. Kind of like the C50T, the Yamaha RSV has so much value. Mine is two years old, and I still have a full manufacturers warranty for three more years.

Anyhow, I wanted to say your bike looks great Egold, and it's obvious you are real happy with it. Enjoy!
