Default SoCal - Tahoe - Monterey -SoCal Loop

I don't have enough time to give it justice or include pics right now, but I have to mention my recent ride. I read the excellent Ride Report from St0nkingByte, and I enjoyed one at about the same time.

Last Tuesday I left Southern California for Lake Tahoe. I had my son with me on my new (to me) touring bike, my brother Jim had my girlfriend's son on his Triumph Bonneville America and my brother Steve had his son with him on his M50. We took Hwy 395 to Carson City, Nevada, then the 50 west and the 28 north to Incline Village on the north end of Lake Tahoe.

Wednesday we headed west on the 50 (one of my new favorite roads) to Sacramento, south a ways on I80, then the 37 across to the 101. We took that south, over the Golden Gate Bridge, and on down to Monterey. Thursday was down the 1 all the way to LA.

It was motorcycle heaven! Just south of Monterey there was a sign warning of curves .... for the next 74 miles! I do love camping and motorcycling, but I have to admit, our overnight accommadations were a little more comfy for this ride. I work for a high end hotel chain, and we stayed both nights in very nice resorts.

Just over 1300 miles when we got home. It was a nice three days. I'll add some photos next time I post.
