I'm not so sure why a lot of people are so stuck on the M109 as a performance cruiser

If anyone is looking at the M109 as a performance motorcycle it does
12.08-second quarter-mile at 110.53 mph and 3.89 sec (0-60mph). Some say they can get the M109 in the high 11's in the quarter mile. By yesterdays and todays standards as performance oriented motorcycle, it's not very flattering. My 1970's Kawasaki 750 triple did a solid 11 second quarter mi.. okay so it wasn't a cruiser.

Regarding performance cruisers you don't have to look further than the Honda Magna V65 which did a 10.4 quarter mi, out of the crate before getting beat by the Yamaha V-Max by in the 1980's.. both can easily beat the M109 as a performance cruiser and cost much less.

The average cruisers from your Harleys(excluding the V-Rod), Shadows, V-Star and Suzuki Boulevard cruisers are basically just that.. Boulevard cruisers.

Even the performance cruisers like the Magna V65, V-Max, etc. are uncomfortable cruising at 130+mph which is nothing for any of the GSXR/RR motorcycles from 600cc and up. Present day GSXR/RR 600cc can do a minimum of 10's in the quarter mi with better handling than any cruisers made. We won't even get into the GSXR/RR 1000s or the Busa and Ninja 1400.

Colin Edwards and Nicky Hayden are riding and winning on stock M109s in the Superbike Class and MotoGP Class against Honda Rebels and Suzuki Savages. Time to sell my Honda Rebel JUST KIDDING My Rebel beat the Busa yesterday lane splitting NOT KIDDING.

Regarding dj110965 performance with a similar displacement cruiser motorcycle is interesting
