The only time I've heard the fan on C50 come on is when I was standing in stop and go traffic for a half hour on a 85+ degree day. I've never heard it while at road speed, or even city street speed. Maybe a build up of dust and bug carcasses in the radiator?
When the dealer did the valve adjustment last year, one of the hoses didn't quite seat right -- I caught a slight whiff of coolant whenever I shut if off. He took it all apart again, cleaned, reassembled and pressure tested it and all was well. To his credit, there was no charge for the second round of work.
