If bike dealers are as slimey as car dealers I would imagine that the sticker price on a new bike is a far cry from what one who fights for a good price would expect to pay. However, this is my first bike, so I am really unsure about how low to try and push a new dealer, also I hear riding gear is also really easy to get out of the deal. Best price I've been quoted over the phone so far is 6,450.

So far I think im going to try to push for 5,800 or 5,900 along with a pair of riding boots since I already have a helmet.

Does anyone here know pricing specifics that can give me some advice? I know its peak season so prices are up but I think that the sticker price is a bit high. If it helps im buying the bike in Greensboro, NC.
