Well, I don't know that I would believe someone lifted a semi to save someone but there have been several doccumented cases of people lifting cars tto free a loved one. It's done by an overwhelming rush of adrenelen (sp).
If you've ever been down before then you know that for most people everything moves in slow motion, kind of sureal. I can easily see a child clinging to Dads back anyway at the time of impact , clutching tighter. At the same time Dad realizing that there is no riding out of the situation and instinctily reaching behind him to protect his son by grabbing him any way he can (arms behind back) to hold him as tight as he can and protect with his very body. The handle bars, windscreen and the car shatter the Fathers frontside because his defense has gone to protect the child who basically rides Dad like a sled over the top and onto the ground, getting up shaken but unhurt.
As a father it is a strange thing. I know I would cut off my arm without thought if it meant my child would live, yet I would not cut off that arm to save my own life.
For the name calling...sorry, I thought I saw a few "***'s" up there.
