I believe the guy you talked to was suggesting you drill out the main jet but you can confirm this with him a you said.
My son started riding his JR 50 a week before his 4th B-day. He saw me unload it and asked why I had it and I said it was for your Birthday next week. He asked me "can I ride it now?" I said SURE! My son flys around the house now and even highsided it once. I thought he would never ride it again after that crash but he got right back on and kept going.
I had installed a set of the training wheels that the guy on EBay sells. Just look up JR50 and you will see them. I paid 45.00 plus shipping. Very good product and bilts right on. |
Hey I bought the same training wheels, they are awesome and of way better construction than the 120 dollar ones that the local Suzuki dealer sells.
I had my son on his bike a couple of months after his 3 year birthday. He took out a gutter on my neighbors house and now he is much more cautious than I would like him to be. Ive relaxed now, he just turned 4, and I stopped using any pressure on him to ride. He rides excellent already but he is not the charging type anymore. Still it makes me happy just to see him go out there for an hour or two.
Parental lesson learned. Dont force them or it will frustrate, they need time to grow at their own pace.
