A few years ago, before I started riding, I walked into a local bike shop and was immediately captivated by the good look of the Hayabusa. Right there, I said I wanted to get a busa. Then I strolled through a few message boards and asked people about having a Busa as a first bike. I pretty much used the same arguments like "but I wanted a manly bike", "I will be careful", "I have self-control", "I weigh nearly 190 lb and I want a bike with enough power." I did not get the endorsement from the experienced riders so I kind of shelved the idea for a while.
Two years later, I got my DMV permit and walked into another bike shop. I sat on an' 05 gixxer1k and thought "man, this thing fits me nice" and was moving the bike left and right between my legs, and then oops, I dropped it, right smack in the middle of the showroom. Fortunately, the showroom was carpeted so no damages.
At that point, I told myself, "I will start with a little 250 and we will see what happens."
