Question Honda Newbie with Tire Problems

Hello,

I own a 2007 Honda Shadow Spirit 750 C2 (shaft drive) with wire wheels. With 84 miles on the bike, I just had my 1st flat tire (rear of course). As I'm sure you know, wire wheels use tube type tires which means when you get a nail on a rear tire, there's nothing to do but call a friend with a bike trailer to get to somewhere that the rear tire can be removed and a new tube installed.

Earlier model shaft drive Shadow 750's and 750 Aero's had alum wheels which used tubeless tires.

Does anyone know if an earlier model Honda factory alum rear wheel can be retrofitted to this bike while still using the existing rear drum brake and shaft drive ? Either from an earlier model 750 Shadow or even from the 1100 Spirit. The rear factory size for my 750 C2 is 160/80-15 and the 1100 is 170/80-15.

Aftermarket wheels are an option of course but cost lots of $$$$.

I am just interested in being able to have a tubeless tire on the rear that can be plugged and aired up with an emergency tire CO2 kit instead of calling for a trailer. Removing the front tire is fairly simple but removing the rear tire is not something I'd want to do on the side of the road.

Thanks for any ideas !
