...I still can't believe this great deal I got on my neighbor's nighthawk. And to top it off, I wasn't even looking for a "newer" motorcycle, my gz250 was serving my needs just fine.

My neighbor came to me last week and wanted to know if I would buy his NH off him. He just had a kid and now feels "he must settle down". When he only wanted $2500, I was thinking something must be wrong with it. I agreed to look at it since I knew how NH were bullet-proof and I didn't mind having a project bike. I couldn't find anything wrong with his bike other than the tires needed to be replaced because of dry rot. I still was thinking there must have been something wrong with it, so I had my local honda dealership check it over. The only thing they stated that needed to be replaced was the tires too. After informing my neighbor of this, he dropped the price a few hundred. I couldn't look a gift horse in the mouth, so I bought the bike off him. I am now the new owner of a "newer" '03 NH with only 3k miles on it for only $2300 ($300 below trade-in).

Guess I'll have to start wearing boots now since the NH has 30.9 seat height, and I have an inseam of only 29 inches.
