Head:



From builder:

- The valve job is done and the head has been re-surfaced. ( It was warped in the center about .006in.)
- The cylinders were a touch out of round so we honed .0004in. in to correct.
- The piston skirt to cyl wall clearance is still well below max spec, so no worries.
- In fact, all are close to .003in. clearance,which is what I would have set them up at anyway if we had done the overbore.

From ME:

I saw the valves. MAN, they were smoked. Real junk. Engine was setup correctly, so it was the valves themselves that failed. Kibblewhite. Should have figured. Using stock Suzuki valves for roadracing is always a good idea.

Shift drum was also wasted. Oil pump had a lot of wear, and was out of spec too. Geez!

Oh yeah, motor was missing a couple of bolts. MAJOR bolts.

Hmmm . . . last engine builder f-ed up on a lot of things.
