Have you thought about some longer risers instead of new bars? I saw some while surfing recently, I think it was a
SCOOTWORKS Belt Drives, lowering kits, handlebar risers, motorcycle parts and accessories, chrome bolts, but I didn't look specifically for M50 applications.
