Well as for comfort the Venture wins . As for handling and power the Strat will kill any Royal. The Royals are great bikes and my wife still has a limited edition Palomino that is awsome to look at. The Royals like the revs and can get out but not like a Liner can. Also the liner is much better for handling as the yamaha boys got it right with the center of gravity on this one
