I have a Ipaq Pocket PC, with a bluetooth GPS unit that attaches to the speedo with some velcro.
The Ipaq sits in my pocket. I tend not to turn them on, but use them when stopped, or if I am hopelessly lost!.
Have to get a cig lighter socket fitted so I can charge them on the fly - not happy with battery life.
But I can always find my way back to a significant road that gets me home.
