I've seen too many videos shot by amateur Fellinis and Spielburgs that, even with image stabilization, are so shaky, you'd think they were done during an earthquake. (Of course, I'm not one to talk - my hands are far from steady when trying to video tape something.)
As long as the video is for non-professional use, I don't have much problem with shaky videos. It's when people try to go the cheap route and not use steady-cams for professional type videos that I like to vomit in their laps. (there's some imagery for you!
