Change the oil yourself. Its cheap and easy. Then when you bring it in for the service maintenance let them know you changed it, and if they want to AGAIN that they can. I'm not completely sure what they do other than change your oil for the first one but I think they check bolts and other fluids to make sure everything is safe.
(I did the same thing. I got to 450 miles, and they couldnt service it for a week. I got up to 700 or so until I was taken in, and my bike runs great with almost 4,000 on it now).
