I have not seen hard bags for the bikes yet. I have soft ones and they work great. I would consider it to be more of a sport than touring as well. I ride about 300 miles trips one way everyother weekend. After that my throttle hand is a bit sore, but that can be fixed with cruise control. It is a bike that you can easily shift around on if you are getting uncomfortable. I love mine and have put 20k miles on her in 2 years.
