Hi Blackie.
5 guys from work and myself left Ft. Langley yesterday @ 10:00 am for the Duffey Lake Loop. 600 km's later, I pulled in the driveway at 7:00 pm. What a Motley Crew we were.

2006 Boulevard M50
2005 VMax
2004 Kaw Z1000
2001 Kaw Drifter
2006 HD Road King
2003 HD Road King

What a ride! Had planned on taking a whole lot more pics, but it's tough to do on a ride with a group that size, with the distance we needed to cover.
Doesn't sound that impressive with the distance and time, but it was a workout. More twisties than can be counted...with lotsa hairpins.
There was a good variety of hills, climbing numerous passes, with breathtaking views of alpine glaciers lined with aqua coloured streams at their foot.( Next time I come this way its with a 4 piece flyrod!)
I'll see what I can gather for pics and post either here or in the 'favorite ride' thread.
I can see why Destination Highways (MC riders 'bible' in these parts) rates this ride as #3 in BC. For any locals contemplating this ride, don't put it off any longer.

We stopped in whistler for a bite at 4:00 pm at the Longhorn (Foot of Blackcomb). Had awesome weather the whole time and we all finished the trip safely despite lots of peg scraping. The Z1000 is a rocket, and the VMax is one awesome machine, despite the older tech. I pushed the M and was pleasantly surprised. I actually like the bike even more.

On a humerous note, had the HD riders envious of the sound of the Cobras! One has stock pipes and he's whining how quiet his '06 now sounds. Ha.
Fueling this fire is the rider on the Drifter (who also has Cobras) commenting how my pipes were the loudest of the bunch.

I'll see what I can do with posting some pics.
BTW...The day before the ride, I took my wife out #7 to Harrison Hot Springs for a bite. The Sandcastle competition is there until October...Perfect for any grandfather to take his grandson out to see how the big boys build 'em.

I'll keep in touch bud
Darren
