The V Strom's really are great bikes. I rode mine straight through from Tennessee back to Minnesota (18 hours) when I went down there in June for the Tail of the Dragon ride. I took my Road King when I went to Sturgis this year, 600 miles one way. The King is a nice bike, but The Strom is always easier on by old body for a long days ride.
I saw 3 Stroms in Sturgis this year, one of them was red, it might have been you.
One of the cool thing about having a Strom around a bunch of Harley's, is that most of the HD guys think a bike has to cost over $15,000 to be any good. When they see what the Strom can do, and than find out what they cost, well let's just say it's usually a "Kodak" moment.
