I use iNav software on my pocket PC with a bluetooth GPS unit. I use electrical tape to fasten my phone to the bike. I only use it to calibrate my speedometer. It's hard to see and the electrical tape leaves gunk that I have to pick off.

This is probably not the solution you're looking for.
