If you were at the limits of your tires - And lets say you were
1st
You dont want to be doing that on the street. There are to many unknowns on the road.... Small rocks, sand, oil - what ever.
Some tires will chatter while on the edge, some slip then grip. (High Side)
Some like the ones I had at the track just stop sticking and your gone (low side)
But to push to the edge on the street is a real bad idea. There is to much crap on the road. You could have good grip one sec and none the next.

I was out with a buddy he on his Intercepter and me on my YZF600R. We were running the twisties. And I was hanging off on a nice right hander decreasing radius. Bike was banked over my knee was down, it was great. Mid corner there was a streak of dirt on the road from a driveway- looked like someone did a burnout up the driveway and spread a small amount of crap out on the road. My front tire hit that and I thought I was a gonner - I crossed the center line before I got it gathered back up. BS luck there wasnt anything comming the other way..

ps
I just hate seeing nice bikes in the ditch.
I know all about people saying - you still have chicken strips on your tires.
Stick to 7/10th on the street - 10/10 is for the track.
Let the other guy through his bike away. - and he will !!!!
