I'm in VT, am 24, unmarried, one parking lot accident on my record, two speeding tickets (neither absurd) and I am paying $130 a month for my '05 sv650s. I go through my state farm agent and also have my jeep insured through them on another policy, but they both get the multiline discount. I can report back in august when I am 25.
the bike IS beautifull around town however I do have some things that you may want to think about: the position hurts your hands after more than 20min riding, at least it does on me (I am 6'2" if that helps) and the throttle is very touchy, both on and off throttle. when you let out the throttle at all it engine brakes like a mack trucks jake brake. I almost never use my brakes cause of the engine braking, almost been rear ended a few times cause my lights dont light up cause I dont use the brakes! however after a couple times the cars will keep a nice distance. you may want to think of ways to raise the bars so its better everyday. as far as power where you want it and the amount of power, well from your profile it looks like you are used to a lot more of it, so maybe it will be a downgrade in that respect, but in all reality I cant imagine needing or wanting much more power than it currently has, I havent seen more than one or two cars on the street that could even get close (I dont race, this is bench stats and such) and even then only with some mods. I personally love the svs and will have it for a long time, though I do need to raise the handlebars.
