Default Remember your first season riding?

Being that this is my first spring riding, I really hope that the things I am experiencing don't become so routine that I overlook them in years to come.

I thought I'd share some of these joys I experience as new rider :

1. Watching the weather the night before like I am waiting for the OK to go out on a mission of great importance.
2. Getting my gear ready the night before like I am getting ready to go on vacation.
3. Getting up to a nice day with reasonable temperatures and feeling like my day is not going to be routine just because I get to ride to work.
4. Putting my gear on, zippering every zipper and fastening every snap like I am stepping into an F15 for a morning fly over.
5. Pulling my bike out of the garage like the whole world is watching and feeling like I am the only one doing this this morning.
6. Starting my bike and checking her over like she is a part of me.
7. Pulling out of my driveway like I am about to go on a great adventure.
8. Feeling the wind, smelling the smells (for some reason even horse@#$ smells good on a bike), executing the curves smoothly, shifting smoothing, stopping the bike and putting my feet down with great timing.
9. Staying alert and focusing only on staying safe and enjoying the ride is alot like meditation, your so focused it clears your mind of all the junk.
10. The biker waves making you feel like your apart of an elite group.
11. Getting to work, the greetings from fellow employess asking how your ride was and sitting at your desk watching the weather knowing your going to do it all again in 8 hours!
IT IS AWESOME!
