I would, if I had the resources, come up w/ an abrasion standard. I think 1.2mm cowhide would be the "standard" and all else would be compared. I am willing to pay for good gear, but what the heck does aramid do to a pair of jeans to make them worth 90 bux. I mean they may be more tear resistant-but how much so-and I have the same question for leather mesh etc. etc. etc. Maybe we can come up with some resources around here and we can call it the MJT standard (motorcycling journal tear standard-and become the next Snell out there. Anyone else agree that it's hard to know whats worth the money out there?
