 Is it me? Convex Mirrors, Ughh!
My truck has a combination of flat mirrors and convex mirrors which I like so much that I don't even need to turn and check before I change lanes, they work that well together. My bike, 2006 C50, has the stock everything seems further than it is away mirrors and I feel so very very uncomfortable changing lanes. On top of that, I find turning to look on a bike is a bit more awkward than in a truck, mostly because of the helmet.
Is it me? Do you guys and gals like the optical illusion these mirrors give? Do you know of a good alternative? Do flat mirrors alleviate the optical illusion but also limit your viewing area on a bike? Open for suggestions!
