Word up to all those streetbike daredevils.

Anyway, I'm purchasing an SV650 very soon. I just want some feedback on the bike.

I have not ridden a bike, I just got my temps and I will be learning to ride as soon as this weather breaks. I've heard the SV is a good starter bike, I know it has a lot of power as I've heard alot of people use it for racing. Hence I cannot find a used one, but they are pretty cheap (under $6K). So I'm just going to buy a new one. I hope I'm making a good choice (Feedback please).

Also, I'm 26. I live in Lakewood, Ohio which is a suburb of Cleveland. I got a price quote on Progressive of about $50 a month, which I don't think is too bad. My roommate has a 2005 Boulevard and he is paying about $30 a month. Anybody know if I should even bother trying All State or Progressive? Or anybody think I should get more insurance than just liability?

Lastly, the MSRP is $5949. I want to talk the salesman down. How low do you think I can get him? I'm hoping to get him down to about $5500, but I think I might need a prayer for that. Let me know your thoughts.
