I think Yamaha just want's to draw attention away from the fact that you have to remove the exhaust to change the oil, that the V 1100 hasn't been updated in 15 years and that it still has carbs and barely 5 more HP to show for all that extra cash.

Now don't get me started on that exposed drive shaft.................
