That sounds like a great helmet. I was also concerned about flip faced helmets flipping open on impact. I bought a Nolan N100E, in part, because a magazine test compared 10 helmets, and only the Nolan did not flip open due to impact tests. It does have plastic latches, so I am relying on the magazine test. Sorry, no link because I can't remember where I read it, but it was in 2004 or 2005. The Nolan is made in Italy too, is that a common place for helmet manufacture?
