I'm all for helping somebody that is down, but the person has to be showing that they are trying to dig out of the mess. If you don't have a job right now and can't afford $200 to get a license back, then you need to get a job closer to where you live (IE, local gas station or grocery store) or sell some things to get the money. $200 isn't much at all if you start looking through what you have and what you really do need to get buy.
Like some, if not most of the people on this forum, I've been there. It has been 4 yrs since my divorce and I am now just getting to the point where I'm not constantly worrying about how to pay for something. It is hard and takes sacrfices, but I feel like I am a better man for doing it and not taking the easy way out (IE, bankruptcy). I did get some help from my family, but I am paying them back and that is what family is for. Up til that time, I never asked my family for anything (money for first car, tuition for college, rent, nothing). What I have is due to me (house, motorcycle, 2 cars, 401K).
Just my $.02 worth.
