VStar 1100 has a quarter mile speed of 14.91 sec, the M50 does 13.99 - both per MCN tests. Their M50 topped out at 107 mph, the VStar 1100 topped out at 94 mph. The M50 also does 0-60 mph a second faster. Results from the Jan '06 issue of Motorcycle Consumer News.
